It is located the road that from N-420 drives to Aliaga, little before arriving to this population. It has been an initiative promoted by the Cultural Association "Santa Bárbara", in which old workers of the mines are grouped together.
The Centre offers a vision of the mining activity developed in the municipality of Aliaga, fundamentally, starting from the installation of the Thermal Power Station and the rising growth of the mining exploitations of the environment.
It is in the casino of the neighbourhood which was built to lodge the important mining population, differentiated of the Power Station employees that were located in the neighbourhood of La Aldehuela.

CONTENTS.

The exhibition offers a panoramic of the mining activity and its relationship with the Thermal Power Station, including great quantity of retrospective images, not only of the mines, but also of the neighbourhood.

It highlights for its interest, the singular film report carried out when inaugurating the facilities.

The atmosphere of the exhibition evokes the dark aspect of the mines combined with lighting systems.

In the middle the hall, you can also contemplate an interesting explanatory board about the Aliaga´s Geologic Park that serves as complement of the exhibition and support to the Park visit.

At the present time, the amplification of the Centre is being prepared by incorporating new documentation on the Thermal Power Station and the exploitation of the mines.
